Ray Welthagen is qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and Australia. He has been active in business advisory consulting since 1994 having joined a merchant bank in South Africa and thereafter, as a senior partner in a corporate advisory firm. He relocated to Australia to establish a network with the intention of assisting business people to establish a presence and to trade in Australia. He is actively involved in all aspects of migration consulting to Australia and is one of the few registered agents who is permanently based in South Africa. Raymond is also a member of the Migration Institute of Australia.

Through his business studies and personal experience, he has gained expertise in the location and analysis of business opportunities in Australia on behalf of South African clients. This skill is strengthened by a network of business contacts and ex South Africans living in Australia. He is able to offer a range of migration consulting services and related tax advice to South African residents looking to make Australia their new home. With strong accounting and corporate advisory business experience Ray can provide sound business advice to those intending to enter Australia under their various business migration programs, secure in the knowledge that the risk they face is mitigated to the greatest degree possible.

Andrew is permanently based in Sydney and is responsible for the operations of our Sydney office. Andrew is a Registered Migration Agent having completed is Graduate Certificate in Migration Law at the the Australian National University and is also a Member of the Migration Institute of Australia. Andrew has a strong financial and banking background having worked as an equity analyst for The Standard Bank Group in Johannesburg and as an institutional banker for Westpac Institutional Bank in Sydney. His strong research, business advisory skills and local knowledge give Migrate2oz a distinct advantage in addressing clients requirements for business visa's. Andrew is qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and Australia and is also a CFA charterholder.

 

Reuven Abeshouse BCom, LLB (Australia)

Reuven is the Aussie member of the team. Prior to joining Migrate2oz Reuven practiced corporate and tax law in Sydney at Phillips Fox Lawyers for a number of years. He also has a degree in accounts and is admitted as an Attorney before the New York Bar. Reuven is also a registered migration agent and brings a distinct Australian flavour to the migration process. He also has the job of informing applicants how their Afrikaans names will be pronounced once they reach Australia. Having married a South African, he currently lives in Australia and vacations in Johannesburg for 11 months a year.
